It’s probably no surprise that I’m inspired by the Japanese art of Ikebana -the arrangement of flowers and plant materials with great attention to color, line, form, the season, and symbolism. This art form has deep cultural roots starting as flower offerings at Buddhist temples. I consider my wall sculptures to be an offering as well, and hope they bring a bit of joy to anyone who sees them.
