On a Wing
This jewelry collection is a continuation of my exploration of butterfly wings. While not a literal depiction, the blue/green/teal dyes create an iridescent effect and the hand-hammered ruffles have a fluttering feeling that evokes the spirit of the butterfly.
All my collections feature sterling silver wire and USA-made chains for the necklaces, and hypoallergenic niobium ear wires for the earrings.
This statement necklace evokes the spirt of butterflies. The blue, green and yellow anodized aluminum colors combine to create an iridescent effect and the stylized wing shapes have a fluttering feeling.
Measurements: the central part with the hanging wings is 3” long and 3’’ wide on a sterling silver chain that adjusts from 18” to 20” long.

My unique deign combines the look of a cuff with the fit and security of a link bracelet and it lays on the wrist at a playful crisscross fashion. The stylized butterfly wing shapes are made from aluminum that’s dyed blue/ turquoise. The links and lobster clasp are sterling silver.
Choose from the larger size that has a total inside circumference of 6 3/4” and is about 1 1/2’’ wide. Or the smaller size that has a total circumference of 6 1/2” and is about 1 1/2’’ wide.
Everyone’s wrist is a little different, you can bend the cuff some to achieve the best fit but it is not made to be repeatedly opened and squeezed to wear. All metal will eventually fatigue and break under these conditions.

The teal and yellow on these earrings really pops. They make a big statement for being so small.

These are the most spectacular earrings in my “on a Wing” collection. They may be on the larger side but they are so lightweight you won’t hardly feel them. You might even forget you have them on if you didn’t get so many complements.
Anodizing is a three-step process that allows me to permanently dye aluminum a wide range of luminous colors. It also strengthens and protects the surface of the metal. It does not tarnish or rub off. It is scratch-resistant but not scratch-proof. For more information about my process check out my “About” page.

These enchanting earrings feature a 6mm sterling silver ball post and little, tiny wing shapes hand-cut and hammer from yellow an blue anodized aluminum.

I made this cuff from thick aluminum strip which I anodized and dyed a blend of turquoise, blue and green . It’s very light weight and comfortable to wear.

This little brooch really sets of a shirt or jacket collar. Made from hand-dyed anodized aluminum, each one has a slightly different pattern.
It has a tie-tac style pin back made from nickel
