This collection was inspired by the Impressionist paintings of water lilies by Claude Monet. I wanted to evoke that same tranquil feeling by dyeing my anodized aluminum a watery, blue/green palette. Monet was obsessed with capturing the constantly changing qualities of light and color. I also think about light a lot because the reflective nature of metal means that its color is affected by the light, so my jewelry shimmers with different hues as it moves. This effect is heightened by the hammer texture and the many facets that creates.
